DIE ZEIT - WISSEN
For DIE ZEIT's WISSEN section, I illustrated a feature on the genuinely sci-fi-scale climate engineering proposals researchers have floated to counter climate change: dams across the Bering Strait, barriers sealing off the North Sea, structures built at a scale bordering on delusion. I leaned into that scale with a retro-futurist, airbrush-driven style: a gleaming, seamed chrome wall holding back an entire ocean above a small city skyline, rendered in a sunset-gradient palette with the clean linework of 80s sci-fi book covers.
